Career Opportunities

Are you interested in joining our team?

We are hiring part-time associate clinicians.

We are looking for like-minded individuals who have experience working with trauma, eating disorders, and/or body image concerns. We offer the opportunity to work both virtually and in-person.

Being and Becoming Counseling and Wellness Services specializes in helping individuals heal from trauma, eating disorders, disordered eating and body image challenges. Our approach is weight-inclusive and trauma-informed, supporting individuals across the full spectrum of eating and body image concerns. We embrace the Health at Every Size (HAES) philosophy and anti-diet ethos, guiding clients to build a compassionate, respectful relationship with themselves and their bodies that is based on attunement, trust, and responsiveness.

Our mission is to help people reclaim their bodies - learning to cope with and move beyond the distressing symptoms that can arise from experiencing trauma, oppressive societal bodily standards, or disconnection from self. Whether negotiating eating or body image concerns, or integrating traumatic experiences, we are dedicated to guiding clients back to embodied living and self-regulation.

At Being and Becoming Counselling and Wellness Services, our top priority is delivering exceptional, high-quality care tailored to each client's needs. Our practice utilizes evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E), Family-Based Treatment for Anorexia Nervosa (FBT-AN), Intuitive Eating Counselling, mindfulness-based approaches, and somatic modalities like trauma-sensitive yoga and sensorimotor psychotherapy.

The work of counseling those impacted by trauma, eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image issues is profoundly meaningful yet uniquely challenging work. But you don't have to take on these complexities alone. At Being and Becoming, you'll be part of a supportive community that intimately understands the demands of this work and is passionate about serving these populations. We provide opportunities for training, peer consultation, case collaboration, and clinical supervision, effectively allowing you to elevate your clinical skills while feeling uplifted by like-minded colleagues. Our ideal new team member is someone seeking a long-term career home and is passionate about this meaningful work.

Currently operating virtually, we will be expanding with a suite of offices opening in August near the Vancouver-Burnaby border. This is an exciting period of growth, and we are seeking skilled, dedicated clinicians eager to join our expanding practice on this next phase of the journey.
