BOOK AN INFO & SCREENING CALL

Recovery doesn’t have to feel overwhelming — this intensive will help you see patterns clearly, take meaningful steps, and start moving forward with confidence.

Break the cycle. Make peace with food.

Maybe you’ve tried therapy or other approaches and know what you “should” do—but urges still take over. You manage for a while, then the cycle repeats, leaving you frustrated and unsure why lasting change hasn’t happened.

Or perhaps you haven’t sought support yet and want to start with clear guidance and direction, rather than trial and error. Either way, binge eating can feel confusing, overwhelming, and hard to change on your own.

This focused intensive is designed to help you understand your experiences, translate insight into action, and build practical skills. You’ll receive structure, tools, and guidance to move confidently toward your next steps in recovery.

Why A Recovery Intensive?

BOOK AN INFO & SCREENING CALL

An intensive offers a time-limited, structured alternative to traditional weekly therapy, providing focused attention over a shorter period. This format may be appropriate for individuals seeking clarity, assessment, or direction in recovery, particularly when uncertainty, urgency, or stalled progress is present. The intensive can help clarify next steps, whether that involves independent work using a recovery roadmap or engagement in additional ongoing support.

BINGE EATING RECOVERY ACROSS BC

Your Written Recovery Roadmap

Each client receives a written recovery roadmap (2–3 pages) following the intensive. This document is designed to help you consolidate insights, remember the skills practiced, and feel supported as you move forward.

**This recovery roadmap is intended as a clinical support document and does not replace ongoing therapy or medical care.**

BOOK AN INFO & SCREENING CALL
  • A concise summary of presenting concerns, relevant intake information, and identified binge eating patterns. This section reflects key themes observed during assessment and the intensive session.

  • An individualized formulation outlining factors contributing to and maintaining binge eating (e.g., dietary restraint, emotional regulation difficulties, shame, stress, trauma-related responses). This includes a functional analysis of binge episodes and identified maintaining cycles.

  • Clear explanations of why binge eating occurs, how urges work, and what supports recovery. This section helps normalize your experience and reduce self-blame, while highlighting core principles discussed during the session.

  • A summary of the 3–5 skills introduced during the intensive, with guidance on how to use them in daily life or during moments of urge. Strategies are tailored to what felt most relevant and accessible for you.

  • Thoughtful, individualized recommendations to support ongoing recovery. This may include therapy referrals, skills groups, nutrition support, optional follow-up sessions, and guidance on when to seek additional or urgent care.

  • Optional tools to support awareness and skill generalization, such as binge episode tracking, urge monitoring, and emotion identification exercises. Emphasis is placed on observation rather than control or judgment.

  • A brief summary highlighting client strengths, engagement, and treatment considerations. This section reinforces that recovery is a non-linear process and outlines supportive expectations for continued work.

FAQ

  • There is no frequency of binge eating required for participation in the intensive. It is designed for individuals struggling with loss of control and distress around eating.

  • No. This intensive does not focus on weight loss or prescribing meal plans. The emphasis is on understanding binge eating patterns, reducing urges, and building skills that support a more stable and peaceful relationship with food.

  • Possibly. The intensive may be fully or partially reimbursable through extended health insurance. Coverage varies by plan, so it is best to confirm with your insurer before booking.

  • This is normal. Depending on the severity of your symptoms, your history, your access to supports and your personal circumstances, you may be able to implement the recovery roadmap on their own or you may need additional support. The roadmap includes personalized next steps and guidance on when to seek additional support, types of support that are indicated, and when urgent or higher-level care is needed.

  • The intensive is designed as a one-time focused session, as it is designed to clarify patterns and provide tools. If additional support is needed, it is better addressed through ongoing therapy, skills groups, or follow-up sessions rather than repeating the intensive.

  • With the support of your therapist you can still participate in the intensive. The recovery roadmap can help support and inform the work you are doing with your therapist, especially if they do not specialize in working with eating disorders.

  • If, after screening, the intensive is not appropriate, you will be guided toward more suitable care options, such as ongoing therapy, group programs, or nutritional or medical support.

  • Many people find that binge eating is influenced by stress, emotional regulation difficulties, or past experiences. The intensive is conducted using trauma-informed principles, and will prioritize safety and stability.
