Julia Hiebert
Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), MEd
Many people come to counselling feeling overwhelmed by painful emotions, disconnected from their feelings, or cut off from their own bodies and relationships with others. These struggles can leave us feeling exhausted and unsure of what to do next. Both my lived experience and my work as a counsellor have led me to view these inner experiences as signals that something within us is calling for attention, understanding, and healing.
I’m Julia, a Registered Clinical Counsellor with experience working with youth and adults facing anxiety, depression, interpersonal challenges, eating disorders and other harmful coping behaviours. My approach is compassionate, emotion-focused, and attuned to the ways our bodies often tell the story of our pain. Together, we can explore the emotions and patterns that may be keeping you stuck, so you can move toward a fuller and more meaningful life.

If you choose to work with me, you can expect warmth, empathy, and an invitation to slow down and be present with your body and emotions.
I view the counselling relationship as a partnership between two equals, and I deeply value your experience and expertise on your own life. My role is to create a space where you feel supported to explore your experiences, build a more compassionate relationship with yourself, and take meaningful action guided by your values and goals.
I recognize that emotional pain doesn’t happen in a vacuum. Our experiences are shaped not only by what we’ve been through personally, but also by things like family history, culture, identity, and the systems we live in. I aim to understand each person’s story within this broader context, while also recognizing the strength and resilience they already carry.
I look forward to the possibility of working with you!
