As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Trauma Therapist to join our team of dedicated clinicians.
Our professional and modern office is conveniently located along the Burnaby-Vancouver border in the vibrant Burnaby Heights community, with easy access to transit and Highway 1, as well as ample free parking for clients.
Position Overview
We are seeking a registered counsellor who has experience providing trauma-focused therapy to a diverse client population. Training in EMDR, sensorimotor psychotherapy, somatic experiencing, or other trauma-focused approaches is an asset.
This independent contractor opportunity is ideal for a clinician who values clinical independence while benefiting from the support and infrastructure of an established group practice.
The successful candidate will provide individual therapy to adults and/or youth presenting with trauma and a range of mental health concerns. Evening and/or weekend availability is preferred.

Clinical Role
Provide trauma-focused therapy to individual clients (adults and/or youth)
Support clients presenting with trauma and related concerns, including PTSD, complex trauma, dissociation, and attachment-related concerns
Support clients presenting with a range of mental health concerns
Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with ethical and regulatory standards
Opportunity to participate in ongoing peer consultation meetings
Qualifications
Minimum of a master’s degree in counselling or clinical psychology
Registered and in good standing as a:
Registered Clinical Counsellor (BCACC)
Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCPA)
Relevant trauma therapy training and clinical experience supporting clients with trauma-related concerns
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred
Professional liability insurance

Experience working with trauma, including PTSD, complex trauma, dissociation, or attachment-related concerns
Self-aware, grounded, and able to hold space for complex emotional material
Values a compassionate, relational, and collaborative approach to therapy
Committed to ethical, evidence-informed, and client-centred practice
Available for evening and/or weekend sessions
